Gone Crazy Synopsis

A madman on the loose! A nuclear weapon in the wrong hands! An entire population under threat! Tony Cunningham's mayhem-filled homage to American crime thrillers is an enjoyable melee full of subterfuge and races against time. An enjoyable romp through 80's South African genre nostalgia.

When a psychopath seeking revenge on the Mayor of a small town steals a mega bomb from a local research facility, two police Inspectors, both working different angles of the same case, will have to team up together if they wish to not only rescue a Professor kidnapped by the madman, but also stop his evil plan of blowing up a nearby dam in order to flood the town where everyone lives!

Noticed some discrepancies on this film. First, regarding the bomb who was stolen by the mad man.  If it was a mega bomb which is very destructive and could cause great damage to a vast area then why is it just placed in a sort of an open box at the top  of a cupboard where it can be easily seen. It doesn't seem like a safe and secure place to keep the bomb, even without the detonator. Also,  I noticed this private investigator who's always seen with the same jacket on most of the scenes. Quite queer for me. Some of the scenes are interesting though and  I recognized the actor who plays the mad man  here as the one who plays a bad guy in the film Impango, he's actually easily recognized just by looking at his funny face and toothless grin.

There was no mention as to what's the motivation of the mad man Vusi to seek revenge on the Mayor and blow up the town but one thing's for sure, this man is trying to seek attention and probably fame.  The actor who plays Vusi is a regular in various  African films and in here, his role seems to lack depth.  I like him more in the comedy genre, that's for sure.  Still the scenes are engrossing to watch and this crime-thriller film has its suspenseful moments.
