One of my favourite Bond films, mainly because of the darker tones maintained after the Dalton films, but also the wry comedic elements and of course Xenia Onatopp, one of the best Bond villains and the best villainess. The opening salvo kicks things off in grandiose style and it doesn't let up from there. The audience is shuttled around the globe quicker than in previous installations, making the whole trip quite a breathless one. Pierce Brosnan was an exciting new Bond and fits the role like a glove.
