Striking the perfect balance between comedy and horror, this is by far and away the best entry in the never-ending Friday the 13th franchise. Injecting spoofy asides, a sprinkling of fantasy, outrageous kills and game performances into a very tired concept works wonderfully, and inserting children into the melee is in such deliciously questionable taste that I couldn't believe the other 'chapters' hadn't done it before, or understood why they haven't since.
