This is about a man's revenge for his daughter's murder but also about his steady descent to being a murderer himself.  In true Kurosawa style, this film treats viewers to cold and unemotional scenes. I didn't for once notice any kind of music or soundtrack in this film but zeroes in mostly on human nature's capacity for violence and monstrosity such as murder. This and more makes for a gripping and fascinating tale that is worth checking out.
