Established by Pastor Chun Ki-Won in 1999, Durihana is a church based in Seoul that helps bring North Korean defectors safely to South Korea. Since founding the organisation Pastor Chun has helped over 1,000 North Koreans defect to the South.
The Durihana church also has a boarding school which looks after and educates North Korean children who otherwise would have nowhere else to live. It offers a safe environment for defectors in which they can rise to the challenges of adapting to a whole new culture, a whole new way of life and a whole new world.
