I find the story quite unique and tricky. The film tries to convey how some persons could go to great lengths just to have that girl they're obsessed with,  to the point of committing crime.  This clearly showcases the workings of  human nature gone awry.  The character of Andrew doesn't seem to have the foresight and think of the consequences of his actions although it was indirectly made still he was the one to bear the burden being the mind behind the motives.  This has a very unpleasant ending and viewers can't help but experience anger and condemnation for the character of Andrew.

Just like what the film's by-line said," Be careful what you wish for", for Andrew, what began as an ardent wish ended in tragedy.  For surely, nothing good ever comes from doing bad.  Karma caught up with him just so easily and what he did, or rather, what he masterminded, will forever haunt him.  It's a great plot and though the acting performances are not above par,  viewers will pluck a lesson or two from this film. Worth checking out!

What easily caught my attention was the music used during the film's entirety.  Aims to set the mood and shifts from classical and jazz to something climactic during the murder scene. Commendable performances by  the lead stars although Thuys the ex-con stood out for being cool, too cool indeed to be a hit man. Such a great contrast to Andrew, who, although he was not physically present during the killing was seen few times to be profusely sweating. There are light-hearted scenes, too, which viewers can find amusing. The actress who plays the role of Mary can't seem to conceal her smiles, even during serious scenes. There were some scenes where some of the actors are self-conscious.  Nevertheless this is an interesting film by director Van der Merwe.

  • Very frightening consequence to unchecked  emotions and intentions.  This film characterizes  the dangerous capacities of human beings when entrapped in the clutches of greed and obsession.
