This film explores fetishes and perversions to the highest degree! Disturbing to a certain extent for me, for who would, in his/her right mind suck up rolled bread up their nostrils/ears? Well, only director  Jan Svankmajer can come up with the idea, really! The obsession of one man with regard to feathers and prickly things was quite acceptable but Mrs. Beltinska "coming" while her toes are bitten by fish? Now, now, that's something outworldly! The perversions of the rest of the characters were really outrageous, darkly humorous but also kinky and insane! Sometimes, during the film's entirety I can't help but squirm yet laugh at the same time!  This is indeed an unconventional take, but nevertheless, this is innately exploring human nature, in all its absurdness. You have got to check this out!
