There isn't anything about this film that I don't like.  It's Just the right side of sentimental, and odd without being weird.  The acting is superb, as are the locations and cinematography.  The various devises used to get inside the protagonists head are very delicately used, even when they are less than subtle.  The cinematography is at once naturalistic and, with the aid of some brilliant editing, surreal.  The hamster is sublime.  I feel a DVD  purchase coming on.

From the multi-awarded director of the short film "Life Doesn't Frighten Me" comes a debut feature film that will leave viewers mesmerized.  This film tackles issues like being gay and homophobia, among others. Strong performances from actors Jessup and Abrams breathe life to this engaging film but the surprise vocal performance of Isabella Rossellini (she is the voice of hamster Buffy) is something that's worth watching out for.  This film earned various awards most notably from the Toronto International Film Festival.

Compelling feature debut from Canadian director Stephen Dunn! This is a  moving film about a young man named Oscar who has to come to terms with his own conflicting emotions. Impressive and strong performances from the lead cast especially Connor Jessup who plays Oscar and Aaron Abrams as Peter, the father of Oscar.  Viewers are treated to a visual delight with the vibrant colours during the film's entirety and the soundrack is laudable.  Worth checking out!
