Six hundred feet beneath the surface terror runs deep
Below Synopsis

In the dark silence of the sea during World War II, the submarine U.S.S. Tiger Shark prowls on what should be a routine rescue mission. But for the shell-shocked crew, trapped together in the sub's narrow corridors and constricted spaces, this is about to become a journey into the sensory delusions, mental deceptions and runaway fear that lurk just below the surface of the ocean.

A genre mish-mash that effectively builds suspense with the help of some great performances, particularly from Olivia Williams, is eventually dragged down to the soggy depths by a plot that doesn't know where it is going. Nothing is paid off, explained or really made into any kind of importance once it reaches the half-way point, as the other elements take center-stage, and by not resolving anything, it questions the involvement of the viewer into it's part of the story. An easily diverting pleasure ride, and certainly unique, but just too confused for my liking.
