I decided to watch this film because of Deneuve, she's an actress I admire and well, I was not disappointed. This has a generous mix of music and drama and it's so interesting to know that Deneuve's daughter is also in here. This is a second collaboration between Honore and Beaupain, the previous film being Love Songs and as they say, two times the charm.  The musical arrangements were admirable and it features a powerhouse cast to boot, including Milos Forman and Paul Schneider. I was also clearly drawn with the period pieces and colorful costumes as the story spans five decades, more or less. A tale of romantic failings and unrequited love, this film is worth checking out.
