Love Is Worth Fighting For
Baler Synopsis

In 1898, a band of Spanish soldiers heroically defended Baler (which was not yet the capital municipality of Aurora until 1951) against Filipino forces for 337 long and grueling days. The battle, now referred to as the Siege of Baler, is the setting of a forbidden love between a Mestizo soldier (Jericho Rosales) and a Filipina lass (Anne Curtis) who lived at the end of the 19th century.

As a movie fan, i could say that BALER is already the best movie in the film festival, the craftsmanship is definitely there. There were nice shots of province of Baler and its rural glory. The acting of Jericho Rosales and Ann Curtis is very commendable. It is also a good addition to the list of Philippine war epic films. And in International film contest that aim to be commercial successes and creative triumph. 5 stars down for this.
