Set in a post dystopian future, Alice Jacobs is Dead has an interesting plot but fails in the acting department. The co-stars in the cast do well acting wise and are believable. Noteworthy is Adrienne Barbeau's performance of Alice Jacobs. Unfortunately, the main actor's performance of Ben Jacobs bordered on disastrous. John La Zar carries his academic attitudes and tones all throughout the film. Even if his scenes call for drama or horror, his performance and tone is strictly like an academic scientist. This makes the film monotonous, and at times, dull. Despite of this, Alice Jacobs is Dead gets 2 and a half stars due to its plot and clever twist.
