A richly devilish psychological drama, one of those rarities that has a lot of fun in telling its story, and sucks you into the cruel pleasure. A host of socially relevant themes could be extracted from the tale — female insecurity, the state of education, indifference to the aged, the incompatibility of sexual urges (lesbian or otherwise) in an icy modern day world - but quite frankly, just like the likes of the guilty pleasure 80's thrillers that came before it, who cares about the heavy undertones.
