Most people have a standard that the hold Woody Allen too. I guess that is part of the curse of creative genius, especially if you are as prolific as Allen.
So, this is not one of his great films. The characters are fairly stock-standard representations of men and women stuck in predictable romantic situations. Nevertheless, I still found it very enjoyable. Anthony Hopkins is particularly good at being pathetic as the rich, dirty old man who leaves his wife to enact his adolescent urges.
