This film characterizes the colliding worlds of mother, boy (mother's son) and man (lover of boy).  All throughout the film you don't hear conversations but each scene is full of heightened emotions.  Though this may not fit well with those who favor fast-paced scenes I sense an inner beauty in its cinematic presentation especially in those surreal scenes. That scene where boy dances around with a red cloth was enticing to watch, with the softness of the cloth tracing the figure of the boy, there was an almost hypnotic note to it.  There's a feeling of sadness and aloneness in this movie that could in a way attribute to the title itself.
