Bravo! This movie really deserves the FIPRESCI Award at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival for its feistiness, comedic outbursts and intense drama at times. I'd have to admit, what makes the film really effective, that sort of movie that clings to one's memory, is due in large part to the awesome performances on stage of the burlesque dancers but more so, because of the intensity of Amalric's acting performance as the tv producer Joachim Zand. As a film that draws inspiration from the book by Colette, this is definitely an outstanding interpretation made more brilliant with the natural and flawless performances of artists/ dancers like Mimi Le Meaux, Dirty Martini and Kitten On the Keys. Highly recommended!
