An hour and a half in the company of a suicidal woman in the throes of post break-up depression might not seem like cosy viewing, but director Malu de Martino has a soft touch that makes her anguished characters endearing while never seeming 'de trop'. Throw in a very Brazilian flavour, a smattering of poetry and lashings of red wine sessions, and you have something of a bittersweet mid-life crisis movie that's a whole lot sweeter than you'd expect. A charmer that I have watched twice and enjoyed more on the second viewing.
