This movie follows Ting who is played by a famous Thai martial arts stuntman turned actor Tony Jaa. Ting promises to retrieve his beloved sacred statue Ong Bak back from the thugs leading him into the city where he is forced to use his mauy thai abilities. Although the storyline is a little predictable, Tony Jaa's background in being a stuntman meant the movies had no strings, no wires and no special effects creating many incredibly intense fight scenes. After watching this film, if you weren't a martial arts film fan before.... this film might turn you into one.
