A darkly comic, low-budget modern update of Rosemary's Baby that feels relatively modest in its goals but hits them with aplomb, amounting to a cruel and endearing little gem anchored by an appropriately hysterical but always sympathetic Gaby Hoffman. Perhaps most memorable for the tragedy of its opening third, which, witnessed through the video of a Skype call, is both brutally alienating in its technological framing and horrifyingly raw in its emotion.
