I got really engrossed watching this film and the reason is obvious, this idea of a commune that promotes free sexuality along with communal child care among others, has got to be one of the far-fetched ideas I've come across in my life. Most viewers for sure are also quite taken aback with the practices of the said commune and yet sadly, although it ceases to exist in the present time, the scars and wounds inflicted on the offspring  are unbelievably so deep and Paul-Julien Robert is a living proof to this.  The honest outpouring of Robert's thoughts as well as that of the other children who were born into and raised in the commune are realities that have to be confronted but at the same time really heartbreaking to know.
