They don't make em like this any more! I mean seriously, a film about an ancient Egyptian princess being reborn as a shop window mannequin. You couldn't make it up! But hey, let's be grateful someone did, because otherwise we wouldn't have the deliciously gooey, cheesy slice of 80's nostalgia and romantic comedy. Kim Cattrall absolutely nails it, injecting sass, fun and magic into what must have seemed like a nuts idea. McCarthy convinces as someone who falls in love with, to everyone else's eyes, an inanimate object, and special kudos go to Meshach Taylor as the inimitable Hollywood, Estelle Getty's batty mall MD, and Spader and Davis' enjoyably camp and OTT rivals from rival department store Illustra. The whole thing is coated in a thick, creamy icing and lashings of sprinkles. Get stuck in!
