Bartosz Konopka’s debut feature is a psychological drama about an adult son trying to deal with his father’s deteriorating mental illness. It is an insightful study of their turbulent relationship, focusing not only on their bond but also showing how such people are marginalised and perceived by the outside, "normal" world. Konopka’s took up an important, personal topic and although the main actors deliver strong performances the overall effect leaves a feeling of an underexplored story that floates away from reality at times.
