This movie is Director Eisenstein's first feature film and it's surprisingly watchable even during the modern times. What I mostly noticed was that the film has no distinct characters, as most scenes feature groups and it's the masses who are, as a whole, the hero. This movie is an interesting study on what it's like when workers go on strike, the self organization of workers and the ways with which it can be dispersed or judged as successful. For a silent film this is generally impressive and comedic hints can be observed in the film's totality. Quite engrossing to watch.
