Contemplated for awhile on the film's title because haven't noticed a dog literally walking on a piano although the film tackles musicality and the role of music in setting a mood or venting emotions. I find this movie engaging, the scenes visually appealing and the sequences fast-paced. Director Grammatikov also brought out the intensity in the actors' performances especially those who portrayed Tanya, Misha, Tanya's father and the young pilot, among others. Endearing and gives us a peek into rustic Russian countryside life in the late '70s.
