FIery action sequences and a detective story that's hard to miss! This film earned many awards and visually appealing not only for the costumes, the giant Buddha and other  impressive production design work but more so because of the fight scenes. Although based on the story of a Tang Dynasty official, this  Tsui Hark movie is richly interjected with fictional characters like a talking deer and a fire turtle. Andy Lau as Detective Dee was magnetic and quick-witted and other impressive performances are from Li Bingbing and Deng Chao.  Do give this film a watch, you'll regret if you won't!
