An amazing film, and definitely my favourite at Berlinale 2016 film festival ! A twisted serial killer crime thriller with a brutal horror element that reminded me of Audition (オーディション - 1999) by Takashi Miike. Especially the performance by Teruyuki Kagawa as eccentric neighbour / serial killer was impressive and followed me for a few days after watching that film. The unprepared audience at Berlinale festival could be found in shock and confused outside the auditorium after the film, trying to make sense out of what they had just seen. A must-see for the hardened Japanese film fan and newbie alike that won't disappoint.
