Powerful and compelling performances by the lead characters Elena (Necar Zadegan) and Peyton (Traci Dinwiddie). American-Iranian actress Zadegan is Elena, a straight woman married to a pastor, unfortunately, she feels trapped and very unhappy with the marriage. American actress Dinwiddie as Peyton is a writer and openly lesbian. Their friendship blossomed to romance and what follows is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and confusion, among other things. Testimonies of couple as interviewed by a love guru who's a friend of Elena, dot the entirety of the film, and in a way adds to the spice and variety of issues at hand. Superb acting performances but worthy of mention would be the character of Tori (Madlyn Hall) as the bubbly girlfriend of Elena's son. Surprising to note that her singing voice is featured in one of the songs in this film. This is a film that lesbians and straight people can relate to as it also discusses human emotions and the intricacies that go with it. Poignant and moving!
