A movie with a difference. It's not who's done it but it's who is going to do it. The audience know what to expect but we're just waiting for it to happen.

The main reason why Calvary is brilliant because of Brendan Glesson's performance. Although the movie deals with uncomfortable themes, which can make the movie hard to watch at times, McDonagh manages to find a balance of dark humour and interesting characters which makes the movie endlessly entertaining. Highly recommend this film, easily one of the best this year and now I really need to see The Guard.
