Surreal but still  engaging to watch.  I guess there are hidden metaphors  in this film,  such as leaving behind a friend on a whale's belly notwithstanding, it could aptly mean leaving behind  innocence among other things.  It seems the brother to brother relationship improved when the friend got left behind inside the whale.  I noticed the constant appearance of teepees even when the characters were underwater,  am not sure though if they represent something other than the animator's penchant for these Indian tents.  Not the usual animated film but still worth checking out.
