Oriole is about the difficulties of motherhood made complicated by her son’s tantrums which is caused by Asperger’s disorder, a form of autism that makes him unable to merge with the world socially.  Oriole is a song describing a mother’s worry for her son – a yellow oriole. I like that this movie talks about real life responsibility, patience, steadfastness, and mostly love.  I feel though, that it lacks a backgrounder about what happened to her husband and when did he disappear from their lives. Otherwise, the movie is good and I will recommend it for viewing by others.
