The movie is an eye-opening journey where it concerns motherhood and being a person of strength and resilience despite of facing so many struggles.  Matilda's plight is so heartbreaking and the things she had to experience just to feed for her son was shockingly sad. She hurdled it and tested her strength as a woman and while it's not a totally happy ending the good investment she did for her son was reaped in a way that the son grew up to be a good person. The acting portrayals are very impressive, Paticia Bakalack as Matilda was expressive and attuned to the role; and the actor who played Max, the pimp was commendable.  Musical scoring was also impressive, this is a great masterpiece from director Francoise Ellong.  Worth checking out!
