2 Dancers. 2 Dreams. 1 Very Mixed-up Musical!
Waiting in the Wings: The Musical Synopsis

Waiting In The Wings: The Musical is a feature film where two entertainers, destined for the big time, are mismatched in a casting office from two very different online contests. Tony, a stripper from New York, is cast in an Off-Broadway musical and needs to trade in his tear-away trunks for tap shoes and tights. Anthony, a naive musical theatre enthusiast from Montana, needs to decide if he can strip all the way down just to stay in town. Hilarity ensues as they realize that "to make it" they're gonna have to learn some new tricks.

Zany, sizzling hot and will make you dance non-stop!  This is one movie that I'd like to watch again with my similarly wacky friends who love musicals. Jeffrey Johns was outstanding as Anthony, a church choir-member with big dreams of joining the theater world. Interestingly, he's also the writer and co-producer of this movie, so this must really be dear to his heart, a pet project so to speak. Adam Huss as Tony, the NY stripper who gets mis-cast just like Anthony was also commendable and great support was given by the cast that includes Shirley Jones, Sally Struthers and Christopher Atkins. This is one entertaining film that reaped many awards at the Fort Myers Beach Film Festival and Pasadena International Film Festival, among others.  This is highly recommended!

This movie sure gets viewers into a really feel-good mood! The musical numbers are tasteful, well-rehearsed and the costumes are lavish you'd think for a second if it's a Broadway production.  The lead characters of Tony and Anthony get mis-cast in a way that will make them do the best they can to adapt and pull through with hopes that it will be some sort of a medium towards success. The dance numbers of strippers and  macho dancers would definitely be a hit among the ladies while the musically-inclined audience will endear themselves with the theatrical singing and musical pieces. This is worth checking out!
