Almodovar is a great example of a contemporary Spanish director and if you want to start watching Spanish films. Almodovar is the perfect place to start. All his movies are extremely artistic from the themes to the cinematography and they are definitely unique. The Skin I Live in is one of his most recent works and it's not an easy watch but a great thriller filled with twists and turns.
