Engaging and intense! This film has been recognized at various indie film festivals but have been met by lukewarm responses from critics.  The story revolves around two brothers, one in the US and the other happy go lucky one, in Thailand.  Oliver was summoned by their mother ( played by Ellen Burstyn) to go and bring Jake back from Thailand. In the process, Oliver falls in love with Lek, a bartender, portrayed by French-Thai actress Florence Faivre.  Tony awardee Burstyn somehow lacked acting flair in this flick but Faivre was a revelation. Nonetheles, this is something worth checking out as it gives a peek on the lives of dysfunctional Americans in another country.
