Not one of Altman's best, but fans of dance should definitely enjoy this. The restrained, observational style of Altman can create potent moments of dramatic simplicity and emotional truth. However, it can also be a bit dull. Without much of a plot to be speak of, The Company does feel a bit long. And the depiction of the dance performances are stagey, which also gets a bit tired.\r\nStill, its an entertaining look at the world of dance, with some beautiful moments. But it lacks the character depth that Altman usually achieves.
