Very surreal indeed, but I think the surrealism added to the film's charm.  Here is a woman torn between following his father's order to marry someone although she loves someone else.  There is a merging of the old and new here, cultural traditions/ beliefs  and the age of call centers. The Indian lady is charming in her role and seeing her ride that bicycle reminded me of the film "The Runaway Bride".  She did get her happy ever after ending,  after all.  Do check out this film.
