I couldn't get into this. The jokes were very lame and the story thinner than toilet paper. The step-brothers were annoying. Mary Steenburgen looks embarrassed. It just goes on and on, I can't remember a single thing about it. Why don't directors of these dumb comedies realise that you need to have at least a smidgen of emotional depth to your characters to get audiences to invest their time in them. Instead it's just Ferrell and Reilly drunk-dialling in lazy-ass performances for yet more cheques. Sad.
