This is a very fresh respite from the usual African movie fares that viewers have been accustomed in the past.  Director B. Nicube succeeded in showing a piece of real Africa that's non-apartheid, non-violent and not stricken with poverty. The comedic scenes were good-naturedly delivered and surprisingly, even Westerners warmed up to the jokes. This surprise hit of the year earned many awards such as the Best Narrative Feature Film at the Silicon Valley African Film Festival in San Francisco,USA and Best International Feature Film at the Bronzelens Film Festival in Atlanta, USA.
