An epic and sweeping martial arts tale that couldn't be more different to the classic disney adaptation. The large scale set-pieces are mind-blowing and the choreography involved in creating them doesn't bear thinking about. An excellent martial arts flick with an awesome female lead in the vein of John Woo's epic Red Cliff, and reminiscent of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy. An excellent intro to Asian cinema.
