An engrossing film from the Soviet Union that tackles a space adventure featuring smart and independent teenagers.  The costumes are great and the locations used are quite credible enough as well as the over-all production design. The musical scoring was also interesting. As these young people go on a space journey to Alpha Cassiopeia that will take them around 27 years,  things go awry and it's where the true adventure begins.  Worth checking out!
