Naka Riisa as Mitsuko comes across as a positive-thinker who doesn't let any failure get in the way. She helps others more than herself and earlier scenes where she's seen offering pickles to the new tenant and to 2 men taking out her belongings is comical. Rissa's acting performance is spontaneous and natural and the acting of the support cast is also laudable like Mitsuko's parents and the landlady. Watch this film and get to see a glimpse of Japanese society, even as Mitsuko's attitude and ideals are so un-Japanese, in a way.
