In Kiki's Delivery Service, 'witch' is not a bad term. At fourteen you have to leave on your broomstick and make your ownrnway. It is a beautiful metaphor for growing up and leaving home. This is a film about inspiration and whatrnhappens when we lose our inspiration. Here we see that Miyazaki is good at playing old narrative storytelling. He knows about exciting animation and that is what we like about him.
