In Their Room: San Francisco / Berlin / London Synopsis

Queer cinema pioneer, Travis Mathews (I WANT YOUR LOVE, INTERIOR. LEATHER BAR with James Franco) returns with a collection of erotic portraits of gay men.

Travelling to three of the most progressive cities in the world; San Francisco, Berlin and London, Mathews captures the raw emotion and essence of gay men's lives in a provocative, sensual and unique way.

The series veers from bedroom to bedroom, watching these men navigate relationships with themselves and those around them; lovers, partners, friends. Some single, others coupled, some hooking up, all over the course of one day.

All three of Mathews real-life narratives are brought together in one intimate collection.

Intense, engrossing, erotic! This film by writer andrndirector Travis Matthews who's known for films like "I Want yourrnLove" and "Interior.Leather.Bar" rngoes a notch higher with honest to goodness accounts from gay men ofrntheir lives.  Starting as a series ofrnseparate short films, this movie provides confessional interviews of gay menrnmostly about their vulnerabilities, turn ons and fantasies, among others. It'srnquite personal but the characters seem to be comfortable though.  And while at present most of us agree thatrngays have become more and more acceptable and open, listening to their storiesrnas it unfolds in this film will still give one profound insights of  who they really  are and what really goes on in theirrnminds.  Worth checking out!

Intimate and sexy,  this  semi-documentary film by Travis Matthews  gives viewers a peek into the lives of gay men who are located in San Francisco, London and Germany.  What grabs the attention of the viewers, more than the nude scenes and the sexual encounters in the film would be the sheer honesty and the great intimacy reflected by the characters. And  one can see that as much as it's a sort of an invasion to their privacy,  the director somehow succeeded in gaining access into the personal world of these gay men.  Peculiar yet interesting,  this should be included in your to-watch list!
