Masnun, a 45 war veteran lives as an outcast in Surabaya. With his daughter, Rahayu, a widow with two sons, Budi and Bening, he gives up and moves to his hometown, Bojonegoro. He, used to be known as a hero in an incident of flag tearing in Surabaya, expects a better life but in fact everything gets worse.Budi, Masnun’s grandson, is challenged to beat his rival, Kemal, in the scouting. Budi tries to participate in every scouting activity. But his family’s poor financial condition doesn’t allow him to buy all accessories required. Bening, his sister, is willing to sacrifice her favorite sheet to be modified into a neckerchief for her brother.
