Haigh’s (director of the awesome 45 years, Weekend and HBO’s Looking) ground-breaking semi-documentary of an insight into a year in the life of a bunch of male escorts based in London. Pete, the protagonist, claims his rationale for escorting is to save as much money as he can to gain a better life for himself. It is an understanding in to this subculture and, although sexually explicit at times, provides an understanding as to why young men enter into this profession. Apparently this was filmed on a budget of £10,000, but you cannot really tell, and has won the Artistic Achievement Award at Outfest in LA. Worth a watch.\r\n
