Good luck and fortune has a price. Joy together with her family and friends will find out that refusing good fortune can actually save their lives. The horror movie of year 2004 really struck a cord on Filipinos minds. Luck and fortune have a big part in the Filipino psyche and refusing or saying no to these is viewed to bring bad luck. The Bagua came from the Chinese immigrants and believe to drive away evil and bad luck as the small mirror at the center reflect the light of the sun. In this horror movie evil came with the face of good fortune. Refusing it takes will power but to accept means death. This is the first of a series of successful horror films by director Chito Rono who knew how to play with people's imagination just by the sound of clacking slippers. This film redefined Filipino horror in terms of originality and authenticity.
