Not entirely a new idea but the film was able to present a unique interpretation of a supposed disease that leaves people helpless and who eventually becomes nothing from something, as they seem to merge with objects around like the floor, bed sheets or anything else.  But what makes the film  a stand-out was not so much on the focus of the disease but of the bond and undying love between a man and woman. The man decides to stay with the infected wife and in the process gets himself contaminated, too.  What imprints on the viewers more was not so much of the havocs of the disease but more of the strong emotions and bonds of love.
