Some cool sides to this recent US Indie: as a European girl, I'm also intrigued by the Mormon culture and curious about their traditions. Then, you have the soundtrack which is a centre piece of the film, as Rachel has the feeling she gets pregnant from the rock&roll she hears on the cassette tape. It follows her around during the whole film. Finally, ELECTRICK CHILDREN offers a melancholic pop art cinematography, where lights and colours of LAS VEGAS contrast with the austere life the protagonist is used to. Julia Garner beautifully takes centre stage on Rebecca Thomas' feature debut.
