Gritty and compelling!  This highly commendable debut film from Kim Ki-duk has a heartless quality but with an artistic touch, especially in the underwater scenes, owing to the painter side of the director.  The actors gave impressive portrayals and Jae-hyeon as Crocodile was violence and a heartless animal personified.  The story has  a surreal yet unique quality, who would ever think of robbing dead bodies of persons who plunge to their death, unless it's a person driven by a great financial need and from malicious intentions. Kim ki-duk never ceases to surprise viewers with his films, a film-maker who's a cut from the rest, having reaped various recognition from award-giving bodies and most notably from Cannes, Venice and Berlin Film Festivals.  This is a must-see!
