As always Wes Anderson never fails to set the right mood for his films. His injection of light humor on bizarre circumstances is his trademark. Enjoyed this film very much with the visual setting of a quaint little town in Italy. Then a disaster strikes and a protagonist characteristically American with Italian descent finds himself at home at last. The film is visually appealing, unpretentious in looking like a film studio which seems to add to the humor. The cast of characters, men drinking outside the cafe and the attractive woman by the cashier adds to the subtle humor Wes is known for.

  • Enjoyed this, despite the presence of Jason Schwartzman, who I have an allergic reaction to (Greta Gerwig is another one)
